Tension as SARS operatives kill man in Rivers

PORT HARCOURT—There was panic in Rumuakwunde
Village, Emohua community in Emohua Local
Government Area of Rivers State yesterday, following the
killing of a yet-to-be identified man by operatives of the
Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, in the state.
The Prince of Emohua community, Prince Chigozie Okor,
confirmed the incident and noted that it had caused
tension, adding that youths stormed the office of SARS at
Ogbakiri Junction, along the East-West Road, to register
their grievances.
Okor said they used the body to block the entrance into
SARS office, leading to sporadic shootings by the security
operatives.
